Body Stories Project: Skin, Boundaries & Beauty ~ Women's writing & Celebration of body love and acceptance
My latest creative exhibit features photos of brave women who dared to show their raw beauty to the world, to take a stand for self-love and acceptance to inspire more women to love their beauty and to create a culture that honors women's beauty in an empowering and fierce way. We began by writing our body stories in January, exploring the ways the written words have the power to transform, heal and nurture they journey we have been on as we move into the future. The project, sponsored by a Muse Makers Grant from World Muse, culminated in a photo shoot where brave women had the chance to model and be part of the visual beauty of the project for art walk in downtown Bend on March 7th, 2014 as we kick off the Muse Conference: Take A Stand.
This exhibit is purposely softened, gentle and in mix-matched frames to remind us that our body story is unique, imperfect and hopelessly flawed in the best possible way. |
